Senior Security Engineer - Cloud & DevSecOps Focus

About the Role

We are looking for a Senior Security Engineer to join our innovative team at Ivy. As a Senior Security Engineer remote, you will be at the forefront of building the world’s first programmable bank. This is a unique opportunity to shape the security architecture from the ground up, ensuring our platform is secure, auditable, and regulator-ready.

What You'll Do

• Own the security infrastructure, strategy, and architecture, bringing it from 0 to 1.
• Implement cloud hardening, pipeline guardrails, SIEM, and vulnerability management systems.
• Act as the bridge between engineering and product teams to ensure secure software delivery.
• Develop security tooling and practices that empower developers to build securely.
• Lead the security setup for a fully licensed global bank, ensuring compliance with SOC 2 standards.

Requirements

• 4+ years of experience in Security Engineering, DevSecOps, or a high-level DevOps role with a security focus.
• Deep hands-on experience with AWS security services (IAM, GuardDuty, CloudTrail, etc.) and Kubernetes.
• Proficiency in scripting languages such as Python for automating security checks.
• Experience with SIEM platforms, SAST/DAST tools, and CI/CD integrations.
• Strong communication skills to explain complex vulnerabilities to developers effectively.

Nice to Have

• Experience in the FinTech industry or with blockchain technologies.
• Familiarity with Terraform for infrastructure as code.
• Knowledge of security compliance frameworks beyond SOC 2.
