Senior Quality Assurance Manager - Pharmaceutical Industry

About the Role

We are seeking a Senior Quality Assurance Manager to join our team at Pfizer, where you will play a crucial role in ensuring the safety and effectiveness of our pharmaceutical products. In this Senior Quality Assurance Manager remote position, you will lead a dedicated team, manage resources, and implement quality assurance processes that directly impact patient care.

What You'll Do

• Lead and manage a team, ensuring alignment with departmental goals and objectives.
• Provide technical guidance and oversight to team members, fostering a collaborative environment.
• Identify and implement improvements in processes or products, taking calculated risks to innovate.
• Manage the performance of direct reports through goal setting, coaching, and assessments.
• Communicate effectively to persuade stakeholders and share insights on complex concepts.
• Evaluate clinical and commercial drug batches for compliance with specifications.
• Approve investigations and change control activities, ensuring adherence to management policies.
• Prepare departmental budgets, control costs, and interface with regulatory agencies during audits.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree with at least 4 years of experience, or a master's degree with 2 years of experience, or a PhD with no experience, or an associate's degree with 8 years of experience, or a high school diploma with 10 years of relevant experience.
• Working knowledge of current Good Manufacturing Practices (cGMP) in the pharmaceutical industry.
• Strong collaboration and interpersonal skills, with proven people management experience.
• Excellent written and oral communication skills.
• Proficiency in MS Office and quality management tools like Trackwise.

Nice to Have

• Understanding of device and combination product industry regulations.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Experience with AI tools such as ChatGPT or Microsoft Copilot.
