Senior Electrical & Electronics Engineer - Sensor Test Development

About the Role

We are seeking a Senior Electrical & Electronics Engineer - Sensor Test Development to join our team at Raytheon. This role is crucial for engineers who are passionate about electrical design and software programming. As a Senior Electrical & Electronics Engineer remote, you will be responsible for developing advanced test platforms and architectures that meet the needs of our defense projects.

What You'll Do

• Develop test hardware, software, and firmware from requirements definition through deployment at manufacturing or customer facilities.
• Lead smaller teams of engineers, overseeing the technical execution of project tasks and reporting project status to department leadership.
• Identify test readiness issues and optimizations throughout the development life cycle.
• Guide mechanical engineering and suppliers through test adapter design activities.
• Support manufacturing operations, including on-site troubleshooting and debugging.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Science, Technology, Engineering, or Mathematics (STEM) with a minimum of 5 years of relevant experience.
• Experience in electrical engineering design and software automation concepts.
• Ability to obtain and maintain an Interim Secret U.S. government issued Security Clearance.
• Experience leading technical tasks with small to mid-sized project teams.
• Familiarity with project management tools such as MS Project, Jira, and Confluence.

Nice to Have

• Experience with National Instruments’ TestStand, LabWindows/CVI, and/or LabVIEW.
• Knowledge of Digital, Analog, RF, and Power Supply test hardware and software design.
• Experience with automation of commercial test and measurement equipment.
