Senior iOS Engineer - Remote Opportunity at Veriff

About the Role

We are seeking a talented Senior iOS Engineer to join our dynamic team at Veriff. This remote Senior iOS Engineer position involves building a reliable, secure, and high-performing SDK that works seamlessly across a wide range of devices. As our user base grows, your role will be crucial in ensuring a seamless experience, even on older devices and slower networks. This is an exciting opportunity to contribute to the development of a lean, efficient, and scalable app that integrates smoothly with partner applications.

What You'll Do

• Design, develop, and maintain our iOS SDK using Swift, ensuring high performance, security, and usability.
• Collaborate closely with cross-functional teams including product managers, designers, and backend engineers.
• Address challenges related to performance and compatibility across a wide range of devices and network conditions.
• Implement and improve testing strategies, including unit, integration, and performance testing.
• Participate in code reviews, providing constructive feedback, and mentoring other engineers.
• Identify and advocate for new technologies, tools, and best practices to improve development efficiency and product quality.
• Proactively identify bottlenecks and resolve issues to ensure reliability and stability.
• Contribute to the technical direction of the iOS SDK and help shape the future of Veriff’s mobile products.

Requirements

• Proven experience as a Senior iOS Engineer with a strong track record in building high-quality iOS applications or SDKs.
• Strong expertise in Swift and iOS frameworks (Cocoa Touch, UIKit, etc.).
• Experience designing and maintaining scalable, testable codebases and APIs.
• Solid understanding of mobile architecture patterns and best practices.
• Experience working with RESTful APIs and integrating them into mobile applications.
• Experience with testing frameworks and automation tools (e.g., unit, integration, performance testing, Fastlane).
• Strong problem-solving skills, ownership mindset, and ability to drive complex initiatives.
• Excellent communication skills and ability to collaborate across teams.

Nice to Have

• Experience developing and maintaining iOS SDKs.
• Familiarity with Agile methodologies such as Scrum or Kanban.
• Experience with CI/CD pipelines and automation processes.
• Exposure to other platforms (Android, cross-platform frameworks).
• Knowledge of accessibility and inclusive design practices.
