Senior Software Engineer - Remote SaaS Solutions

We are seeking a Senior Software Engineer to join our innovative team at Alongside. This Senior Software Engineer remote position offers you the chance to work with a fast-growing SaaS company that is transforming the automotive dealership experience. What You'll Do

• Design, develop, and maintain scalable software solutions that enhance operational efficiency.
• Identify and address performance bottlenecks, implementing optimizations to improve system performance.
• Participate in code reviews, providing constructive feedback to fellow developers to foster a culture of continuous improvement.
• Contribute to architecture decisions and help establish best practices for software development.
• Implement and maintain security best practices to safeguard applications and data.
• Troubleshoot production issues and develop effective solutions to address them promptly.

Requirements

• Strong proficiency in TypeScript across IaaS, backend, and frontend development.
• End-to-end TypeScript expertise, with an emphasis on strict typing and avoiding coercions.
• Experience with Pulumi for infrastructure-as-code (IaaS) implementations.
• Backend development experience using Bun and frontend development with React and Vite.
• Experience hosting applications on AWS, ensuring high availability and scalability.
• Familiarity with Postgres and Redis for data storage solutions.
• Experience with GraphQL, ensuring end-to-end type safety in API interactions.
• Excellent problem-solving skills and strong attention to detail.
• Strong communication skills and experience collaborating in cross-functional teams.
• A passion for one or more focus areas: Security, Platform/SRE, AI, Product Engineering, or Business Intelligence.

Nice to Have

• Experience with CI/CD pipelines and DevOps practices.
• Familiarity with containerization technologies like Docker.
• Knowledge of agile methodologies and experience working in agile teams.
