Senior Java Developer - Trade Finance Project (Remote)

About the Role

We are looking for a Senior Java Developer to join our dynamic team at Smart Consulting. As a Senior Java Developer remote, you will play a pivotal role in our Trade Finance project, contributing to the development of innovative solutions that drive our business forward. With over a decade of experience in IT consulting, we pride ourselves on delivering high-quality projects and fostering a collaborative work environment.

What You'll Do

• Participate in the development of large-scale international projects within the Trade Finance domain, including Guarantees and Documentary Credits.
• Design, develop, and maintain full-stack applications using Java Spring Boot and React (TypeScript).
• Maintain and evolve legacy applications, including reverse engineering to understand business rules.
• Contribute to code reviews, debugging, and performance optimization.
• Collaborate closely with international teams and project leaders, ensuring transparency and quality delivery.

Requirements

• 5+ years of experience in Java development with strong object-oriented programming skills.
• Solid knowledge of Spring Framework (Spring Core, Spring Boot – Java 17).
• Good understanding of React with TypeScript.
• Experience with SQL and relational databases.
• Knowledge of Git and Maven.
• Familiarity with CI/CD tools such as Jenkins, XL Deploy, and XL Release.

Nice to Have

• Experience in the Trade Finance domain.
• Familiarity with agile methodologies.
• Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
