About the Role

We are seeking a talented Windows/Linux Systems Administrator to join our dynamic team at Northrop Grumman. As a Windows/Linux Systems Administrator remote, you will play a crucial role in maintaining the smooth operation of multi-user computer systems, ensuring security and reliability in a classified environment.

What You'll Do

• Perform as a Windows and Linux System Administrator for classified government contracts.
• Communicate effectively at all levels of the organization, both in written and oral formats.
• Coordinate with network, software, and system engineers to maintain system operations.
• Support multiple networks and ensure necessary administration tasks are completed.
• Analyze customer requirements and determine equipment and software needs for solutions.
• Recommend and implement system enhancements to improve performance and reliability.
• Provide backup and recovery services, manage file systems, and ensure virus protection.
• Create and maintain user accounts and modify file permissions as necessary.

Requirements

• Master's Degree with 0 years of experience; OR a Bachelor's Degree with 2 years of relevant experience; OR an Associate's Degree with 4 years of relevant experience; OR a High School Diploma with 6 years of relevant experience.
• Must have a Security+ certification (or greater).
• Current DOD Secret level security clearance is required.
• Experience managing Windows Server OS and designing Windows domain architectures.
• Linux Operating Systems support experience is required.

Nice to Have

• Bachelor's degree in Information Technology.
• Active Top Secret clearance or similar certifications.
• Experience with VMWare, Active Directory, and Group Policy in a classified environment.
• Knowledge of environmental monitoring tools like Splunk.
• Mid to Advanced level Scripting experience.
