Technical Marketing Manager - AppSec & AI/​ML Security

About the Role

We are seeking a Technical Marketing Manager to join our team at Trail of Bits. This is a unique opportunity to work in a remote environment, focusing on AppSec and AI/ML Security. As a Technical Marketing Manager, you will play a pivotal role in shaping our marketing strategies and executing them effectively.

What You'll Do

• Oversee the marketing efforts for our AppSec, AI/ML Security, and Research & Engineering practices.
• Collaborate with engineering directors and the go-to-market team to transform security research into compelling marketing materials, including blog posts, social media campaigns, and event presentations.
• Manage the content calendar, ensuring consistent coverage of engineering outputs such as tool releases and research papers.
• Own social media channels across X, LinkedIn, and Bluesky, engaging with the community and growing our audience.
• Plan and execute multi-channel demand generation campaigns that drive pipeline growth.
• Utilize analytics to track performance, improve existing baselines, and create reporting rhythms that connect marketing activities to revenue outcomes.

Requirements

• Experience in demand generation, particularly in a security, blockchain, or developer tools environment.
• Strong writing skills for a technical audience, capable of producing high-quality blogs, case studies, and technical documentation.
• Familiarity with AppSec and AI/ML Security landscapes, including key players and community engagement.
• Hands-on experience with marketing automation platforms, preferably HubSpot.
• Proficiency in using analytics to inform marketing strategies and decisions.

Nice to Have

• Experience with analyst relations or industry awards programs.
• Background in PR and crisis communications.
• Familiarity with customer journey mapping and client segmentation.
