SEO Specialist - Remote Position

About the Role

We are hiring an SEO Specialist to join our dynamic team at A1 Contractor Marketing. This SEO Specialist remote position offers you the chance to take ownership of our clients' search presence across local, organic, and AI-driven search. You will be part of a collaborative team that values transparency and excellence in delivering results for contractors and home service businesses.

What You'll Do

• Conduct keyword research and align content strategy with search intent, ensuring that our clients' content is optimized for visibility.
• Perform technical SEO audits and coordinate necessary fixes to improve website performance.
• Monitor and report on rankings, organic traffic, and conversions using GA4 and Google Search Console, providing insights that drive strategy.
• Maintain and optimize local citations and Google Business Profile listings to enhance local search visibility.
• Develop and test innovative content strategies designed to earn visibility in AI-generated answers, adapting to the evolving search landscape.
• Build and execute a link acquisition strategy that aligns with brand guidelines, enhancing domain authority.
• Present clear, data-informed reporting on performance and upcoming priorities to stakeholders.

Requirements

• 2–5 years of hands-on SEO experience, preferably in an agency setting.
• Proficiency with tools such as Semrush, GA4, and Google Search Console.
• Solid local SEO experience, with a proven track record of improving local search rankings.
• Strong communication skills and the ability to translate SEO concepts for non-technical clients.
• Comfortable managing multiple client accounts and prioritizing work independently.
• Familiarity with structured data, schema markup, and E-E-A-T principles.
• An emerging understanding of AI search and answer engine optimization (AEO).

Nice to Have

• Experience with content marketing and social media strategies.
• Knowledge of HTML and CSS.
