Senior Software Engineer - Identity and Access Management (Remote)

About the Role

We are seeking a Senior Software Engineer - Identity and Access Management (Remote) to join our innovative team at Oracle Cloud Infrastructure (OCI). In this role, you will be instrumental in designing, building, and maintaining secure and scalable cloud services that support our global authentication and authorization systems. What You'll Do

• Develop and maintain cloud-based identity and access management (IAM) services that are secure, reliable, and scalable.
• Implement new features and enhancements based on design specifications, collaborating with senior engineers to refine technical approaches.
• Write clean, efficient, and well-documented code in Java, Go, or C#.
• Participate in code reviews, testing, and troubleshooting to ensure high-quality releases and strong service reliability.
• Work closely with cross-functional partners (product management, security, and operations) to understand requirements and deliver impactful solutions.
• Support operational excellence by contributing to monitoring, alerting, and incident response for the services you build.
• Continuously learn and grow by staying up to date with modern cloud, security, and development best practices.

Requirements

• BS or MS degree in Computer Science or a related technical field, or equivalent practical experience.
• 5+ years of software development experience, with strong programming skills in Java, Go, C#, or other object-oriented languages.
• Experience delivering high-scale, distributed services in a production environment.
• Understanding of cloud infrastructure, networking, and system design.
• Strong debugging, problem-solving, and communication skills.

Nice to Have

• Experience operating mission-critical, Tier-1 live services.
• Experience with Identity and Access Management (IAM) systems.
• Hands-on experience with public cloud platforms such as OCI, AWS, Azure, etc.
• Knowledge of multi-region deployments and multi-AD/AZ architectures.
• Experience with CI/CD pipelines and test-driven development.
• Familiarity with containerization technologies such as Docker and Kubernetes.
• Understanding of system security, authentication protocols, and compliance frameworks (e.g., FedRAMP, PCI DSS).
