Senior IT Project Advisor - Remote Role

About the Role

We are seeking a Senior IT Project Advisor to join our team in a fully remote capacity. In this role, you will serve as a senior IT project advisor and an authoritative source of information for decision-making managers and planners across the Department of Defense (DoD) for key IT projects and initiatives at the Defense Information Systems Agency (DISA). This position is critical in orchestrating the identification and prioritization of significant IT projects among DISA’s substantial customer population.

What You'll Do

• Develop and promulgate short and long-range DISA information services plans and projects, ensuring effective engineering and integration of plans, programs, and operations.
• Act as an expert source for information and assist leaders in examining, developing, and defining transition plans to integrate specific applications into the enterprise.
• Review and evaluate IT-related work or data to ensure accuracy, completeness, and consistency with standards.
• Maintain relationships with customers, assessing their current IT needs and developing tailored products and services.
• Brief mid-level management and IT staff on the status of information technology systems and projects, communicating technical information to non-technical audiences.
• Identify alternatives to address complex IT-related issues by gathering and applying information from various sources.

Requirements

• Must be a U.S. Citizen and meet the security clearance requirements as this position may require access to classified information.
• At least one year of experience that demonstrates the competencies necessary for immediate success in the position.
• Experience with integration of multiple IT capabilities and systems development principles.
• Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to communicate effectively with diverse audiences.
• Attention to detail and customer service orientation.

Nice to Have

• Experience in project management principles and techniques.
• Familiarity with hybrid hosting and compute platforms.
• Previous work in a federal or military environment.
