Mid-Level Backend Engineer (Python) - Remote Opportunity

About the Role

We're hiring a Mid-Level Backend Engineer (Python) to join our dynamic team at Paylogic, a leading event ticketing and operations platform. As a Backend Engineer, you'll be working remotely on impactful systems that serve millions of fans and thousands of event organizers. This role offers a unique opportunity to contribute to high-traffic ticketing shops, payment flows, and internal tools that ensure events run smoothly.

What You'll Do

• Build and improve Python services across the platform, ensuring high performance and reliability.
• Design and ship payment flows, payout logic, and API integrations that are crucial for our operations.
• Contribute to technical discussions, architecture decisions, and code reviews to enhance our systems.
• Work on performance and reliability, both at scale and in everyday production environments.
• Maintain existing systems while ensuring code is understandable and well-documented.

Requirements

• 5+ years of backend engineering experience, with at least 2 years of production experience in Python.
• Solid experience in building and consuming APIs, integrating third-party services, and working with relational databases like MySQL.
• Familiarity with frameworks and tools such as FastAPI, Flask, Celery, Redis, and SQLAlchemy.
• Ability to write tested and documented code that remains clear and maintainable over time.
• Comfortable with shared ownership of code, including participating in code reviews and collaborative decision-making.

Nice to Have

• Experience with testing frameworks such as Pytest, Playwright, or Selenium.
• Knowledge of AI-assisted development tools.
