Machine Learning Platform Engineer - Remote Opportunity

About the Role

We are seeking a talented Machine Learning Platform Engineer to join our team at Arrive Logistics. This remote opportunity allows you to play a crucial role in maintaining and expanding our machine learning platform. You will be instrumental in driving key projects that enhance our product capabilities while ensuring quality and functionality.

What You'll Do

• Design, build, and maintain scalable ML systems and infrastructure using technologies such as Python, Postgres, and Elasticsearch.
• Collaborate closely with Machine Learning Engineers, Product Managers, Data Scientists, and Data Engineers to deliver strategic initiatives.
• Own systems throughout the software development lifecycle, from design to deployment and monitoring.
• Maintain and improve the performance of existing data systems while ensuring observability and readability.
• Proactively propose solutions to gaps in process, technology, and software design.
• Conduct rigorous code reviews to uphold team standards and best practices.
• Foster a culture of continuous improvement, engineering excellence, and collaboration.
• Engage in productive in-office days that promote mentorship and teamwork.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field, or equivalent professional experience.
• 3+ years of experience with ML ops, model serving, and optimization.
• 3+ years of experience with Python and building scalable backend services.
• Familiarity with frameworks like Sklearn, Pandas, and Numpy; experience with Huggingface, Tensorflow, and Pytorch is a plus.
• 2+ years of experience with relational databases and designing maintainable systems.
• Experience with cloud-native applications in Kubernetes.
• Strong communication skills and the ability to articulate complex ML concepts.
• Self-starter with strong project management and organizational skills.

Nice to Have

• Experience with online experimentation platforms like Statsig.
• Understanding of both traditional machine learning and deep neural networks.
