About the Role

We're hiring an Entry-Level MERN/MEAN Stack Developer to join our dynamic team at BeaconFire Inc. This remote position offers an exciting opportunity to develop websites using modern technologies such as HTML, CSS, Node.js, React.js, and Angular2+. As a MERN/MEAN Stack Developer, you'll write scalable and secure code that powers our clients’ platforms, contributing to innovative projects that make a difference.

What You'll Do

• Develop and maintain websites using HTML, CSS, Node.js, React.js, and Angular2+.
• Write scalable, secure, and maintainable code that meets client requirements.
• Create, deploy, and maintain automated system tests to ensure code quality.
• Collaborate with testers to understand and resolve defects in a timely manner.
• Engage in continuous improvement by exploring new technologies and presenting them for architectural review.
• Work effectively with team members to achieve shared user story and sprint goals.
• Invest in your professional development to stay updated with the latest programming languages and technologies.
• Identify and fix programming bugs as they arise.

Requirements

• Proficient understanding of HTML and CSS.
• Experience in JavaScript or similar programming languages (e.g., Java, Python, C, C++, C#).
• Basic knowledge of code versioning tools (e.g., Git, SVN).
• A passion for creating pixel-perfect web pages.
• Good verbal communication and interpersonal skills.

Nice to Have

• Bachelor's degree or higher in Computer Science or related fields.
• 0-1 year of practical experience in JavaScript coding.
• Familiarity with at least one JavaScript framework (Angular2+, React.js, Express.js).
• Experience with unit and integration testing using JavaScript testing frameworks like Jasmine, Cucumber, Mocha, and Karma.
• Experience providing REST/SOAP APIs for user interface consumption.
• Experience working within an Agile development methodology (Scrum).
