Concept Artist (Video Games) - Remote Opportunity

About the Role

We're excited to announce an opportunity for a Concept Artist (Video Games) remote position at Liquid Development, the largest outsourcing art studio in North America. Founded in 2000, we pride ourselves on fostering a fun and collaborative work atmosphere where creativity thrives. As a Concept Artist, you will play a crucial role in shaping the visual identity of some of the most iconic video games in the industry.

What You'll Do

• Develop and produce high-quality concept art for video games, including characters, environments, and props.
• Collaborate with game designers and art directors to ensure alignment with the overall vision of the project.
• Create detailed sketches and illustrations that effectively communicate design ideas and concepts.
• Utilize software such as Maya, Blender, or 3DS Max to create 3D models and visualizations.
• Participate in team brainstorming sessions to generate innovative ideas and solutions.

Requirements

• A strong portfolio/demo reel showcasing recent work in concept art for video games (submission required).
• Experience with hard surface, weapon, and sci-fi concepts demonstrated in your portfolio.
• Proficiency in Photoshop and digital illustration skills, including background painting and character art.
• Ability to work independently while also thriving in a team environment.
• Familiarity with game production pipelines is a plus.

Nice to Have

• Experience with VR/AR projects.
• Knowledge of animation principles.
• Familiarity with additional software tools in the gaming industry.
