Cloud IT Operations Engineer - Remote

About the Role

We are seeking a talented Cloud IT Operations Engineer to join our innovative health tech company. This is a fully remote position that offers the opportunity to work within a dynamic Network Operations Center (NOC) team. As a Cloud IT Operations Engineer, you will play a vital role in monitoring, triaging, and resolving infrastructure and application issues across Azure and AWS environments.

What You'll Do

• Monitor cloud infrastructure, applications, and services using tools such as Site24x7, Datadog, or similar platforms.
• Respond to alerts, incidents, and service disruptions; perform initial triage and resolution.
• Escalate complex issues to appropriate engineering teams with clear documentation.
• Perform root cause analysis and assist in post-incident reviews.
• Maintain system uptime and performance across Azure and AWS environments.
• Execute standard operating procedures (SOPs) and runbooks for incident management.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams including DevOps, Engineering, and Security.
• Continuously improve monitoring, alerting, and operational processes.
• Perform day-to-day service desk activities, including end-user support and execution of engineering requests related to Azure infrastructure and cloud operations.

Requirements

• 3–5 years of experience in IT Operations, NOC, or Systems Engineering roles.
• Hands-on experience with Azure cloud infrastructure (required).
• Experience with monitoring/observability tools such as Site24x7, Datadog, New Relic, or similar.
• Strong understanding of incident management and troubleshooting methodologies.
• Experience working in a 24/7 or shift-based operations environment.
• Strong problem-solving skills and ability to work independently during assigned shifts.

Nice to Have

• Experience with AWS cloud services.
• Exposure to automation/scripting (PowerShell, Bash, Python).
• Knowledge of ITIL practices or incident management frameworks.
• Experience supporting fully cloud-native environments.
