Chief Engineer - Remote Opportunities with Relocation Support

What You'll Do
- Lead a multi-disciplined engineering team, managing the technical performance of various programs.
- Serve as the definitive technical authority for all engineering aspects, including systems engineering, hardware, software, and testing.
- Provide expert input on risks, issues, and opportunities that may affect system-level requirements and engineering integration.
- Mentor and guide other technical employees in the application of systems engineering principles.
- Develop and present technical solutions to senior leadership, advocating for digital transformation initiatives.
- Engage with customers to ensure successful execution of Agile planning and execution.
- Evaluate technical implications of identified risks and offer recommendations for mitigation strategies.
- Collaborate with various stakeholders across multiple teams and suppliers to achieve program objectives.
Requirements
- Bachelor of Science degree in a STEM discipline with 14 years of experience; or 12 years with a master’s degree; or 10 years with a PhD.
- Minimum of 5 years of experience leading engineering teams to achieve common goals.
- Must have US Citizenship and an Active Top Secret/SCI clearance at the time of application.
- Ability to travel up to 25% as required by the role.
- Strong collaboration skills and experience working across various divisions and sectors.
- Familiarity with RF and Hardware design, integration, and deployment.
- Experience in leading technical tasks on schedule and within budget.
- Demonstrated effectiveness in managing people and understanding internal processes.
Nice to Have
- Experience in remote sensing applications across multiple operating domains.
- Background in applying NG Systems Engineering Principles to guide program technical design.
- Experience with Model-Based Systems Engineering (MBSE).
- Knowledge of data exploitation, AI/ML techniques, and Automatic Target Recognition (ATR).
