Technical Training Development Manager (Digital) - Remote

About the Role

We are seeking a Technical Training Development Manager (Digital) remote to join our team at The Virtual Bench. This role is pivotal in enhancing workforce capabilities through innovative training solutions. You will be responsible for developing training content, delivering competency frameworks, and supporting career development within the Digital Product Segment, which includes cutting-edge technologies such as Virtual Reality, AI, and simulation training.

What You'll Do

  • Own and drive the global competency development program for the DIGITAL segment.
  • Develop and deliver training content that meets the needs of a diverse workforce.
  • Implement innovative training approaches, including AI-driven solutions, to enhance effectiveness and future readiness.
  • Design career paths, learning plans, and competency frameworks; oversee their implementation and administration.
  • Collaborate with segment leaders and subject matter experts (SMEs) to embed competency processes and ensure compliance through audits and reviews.
  • Manage the annual competency development budget, KPIs, and change management plans.
  • Ensure all activities comply with corporate governance, HSE, security, and regulatory standards.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Engineering.
  • 5-15+ years of progressive experience in competency management, career path design, and large-scale training program implementation.
  • Experience with Digital Product Line Technical Training in areas such as Industrial Automation, SCADA, and drilling optimization.
  • Proven track record of building out competency frameworks and leading a team of trainers.
  • Experience in the oilfield services or energy sector is highly desirable.
  • Skilled in designing blended learning methods, including simulation, digital, and virtual training.

  • Experience with AI technologies in training.
  • Familiarity with compliance and regulatory standards in training.
  • Previous experience in a fast-paced global environment.
