About the Role

We are seeking an Executive Director of Enterprise Infrastructure to join the U.S. Customs and Border Protection (CBP) team in a remote capacity. As the Executive Director, you will play a pivotal role in shaping the future of our enterprise infrastructure and operations. What You'll Do

  • Serve as a principal advisor to the Deputy Assistant Commissioner, providing strategic oversight for enterprise network design and data management.
  • Lead the architecture, design, and implementation of CBP's enterprise IT infrastructure, ensuring secure and reliable communication capabilities.
  • Manage critical IT components including the Network Operations Center and Data Centers, ensuring 24x7 support for over 67,000 end users.
  • Formulate strategic vision and manage daily operations to adapt to the rapidly changing mission requirements of CBP.
  • Drive collaboration across departments to ensure alignment with CBP's strategic objectives and operational goals.

Requirements

  • Must be a U.S. Citizen with a commitment to upholding the Constitution and the rule of law.
  • Demonstrated leadership experience at the senior executive level, typically at or above the GS-15 grade level.
  • Expert knowledge in overseeing large, complex enterprise infrastructure and network engineering functions.
  • Ability to manage resources efficiently and effectively, driving technological upgrades and process improvements.
  • Experience in leading teams and inspiring high-performance cultures within organizations.

Nice to Have

  • Experience with cloud technologies and hybrid environments.
  • Familiarity with federal regulations and compliance requirements.
  • Previous experience in a government or public sector role.
