Team Leader - Intensive Care Unit (Remote)
About the Role
We are seeking a dedicated Team Leader for the Intensive Care Unit (ICU) to join our dynamic team at Mediclinic Group. This role offers the opportunity to lead a skilled nursing team while providing high-quality patient care in a state-of-the-art facility. As a Team Leader in the ICU, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the delivery of excellent healthcare services remotely.
What You'll Do
- Provide organizational and professional support to the ICU nursing team while actively participating in patient care during shifts.
- Independently coordinate the 22 ICU beds and monitor the observation unit beds in collaboration with intensivists during morning and evening shifts.
- Review and oversee the quality standards and characteristics set by the clinic, working closely with the leadership team.
- Instruct, support, and advise ICU staff on nursing, professional, administrative, and organizational matters.
- Lead and empathically manage a team of approximately 20 staff members, conducting performance evaluations and recognizing individual strengths for targeted development and motivation.
- Facilitate team meetings, maintain regular communication with the leadership team and trainers, and take on additional responsibilities such as leading projects in various work areas (training, equipment, etc.).
Requirements
- Must be a qualified Intensive Care Nurse with a diploma or equivalent specialization in intensive care nursing.
- At least five years of professional experience in an ICU setting within a Swiss acute hospital.
- Previous leadership experience is preferred, with a passion for guiding, nurturing, and developing a team.
- A desire to combine various profiles in your profession, allowing you to coordinate, lead, and work directly with patients.
- Demonstrated solution-oriented and entrepreneurial thinking and action.
