About the Role

We're hiring a Director of Quality and Patient Safety to join our team at CommonSpirit Health. In this pivotal role, you will lead ongoing quality improvement initiatives at Glendale Memorial Hospital and Health Center, ensuring our patients receive high-quality care and achieve positive outcomes. As the Director of Quality and Patient Safety, you will leverage your expertise in data analysis, clinical practice, and operations to drive performance improvements and enhance patient safety.

What You'll Do

  • Lead quality improvement initiatives by collaborating with healthcare professionals to enhance patient care.
  • Analyze data and implement strategies for performance improvements, quality outcomes, and risk mitigation.
  • Utilize your project management skills to ensure teams are aligned with current initiatives.
  • Foster a culture of continuous improvement by applying your knowledge of quality management methods.
  • Oversee compliance with federal, state, and local healthcare regulations to maintain high standards of care.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in a healthcare-related field or five years of related experience in lieu of a degree.
  • Minimum of five years of progressive management responsibility in a healthcare setting.
  • Two years of experience managing an acute care organization’s Quality Improvement Program.
  • Current State License in a clinical field or equivalent experience in Quality Management.
  • Certification in Healthcare Quality (CPHQ or HCQM) required within two years of employment.

Nice to Have

  • Experience with performance improvement methodologies such as Six Sigma or LEAN.
  • Knowledge of accreditation and regulatory requirements for healthcare services.
  • Familiarity with event reporting processes and root cause analyses.
