Systems Engineer - Specialty Engineering Focus

What You'll Do
- Collaborate with team members to plan and execute specialty engineering tasks across various domains, including Systems Safety, Reliability, and Cybersecurity.
- Perform detailed Specialty Engineering analyses such as Failure Mode Effects and Criticality Analysis (FMECA) and Fault Tree Analysis (FTA).
- Work closely with Systems Design Engineering to define, track, and verify requirements that align with system development objectives.
- Coordinate with Test Engineering and Environmental Health & Safety (EH&S) to ensure safe execution of test events and manufacturing processes.
- Engage with engineers from multiple disciplines including Mechanical, Electrical, and Software Engineering to foster a collaborative environment.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in an Engineering discipline with a minimum of 2 years of relevant experience, or a Master's degree with no additional experience required.
- Ability to obtain a DOD Secret clearance.
- Strong interest in learning across multiple engineering domains such as Systems Safety and Product Cybersecurity.
- Familiarity with Microsoft Office products and willingness to learn new toolsets.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
Nice to Have
- BS in Electrical or Computer Engineering.
- Experience in aerospace and defense products.
- Familiarity with engineering analyses like Hazard Analysis and Statistical Analysis.
- Relevant certifications in Specialty Engineering domains.
