About the Role

We are seeking a Planning Systems Administrator to join our team at BAM UK & Ireland. This remote position focuses on ensuring the smooth operation of planning systems, particularly with a strong emphasis on Primavera P6. As a Planning Systems Administrator, you will play a crucial role in validating program inputs, maintaining version control, and producing essential planning reports and dashboards.

What You'll Do

  • Ensure the planning system is set up correctly and runs efficiently, providing reliable data for project teams.
  • Support the smooth running of planning systems, enabling informed decision-making.
  • Maintain and update the program databases in Loadspring, acting as the primary owner and managing the program register in alignment with planning procedures.
  • Manage permissions for access to the P6 database and attend meetings with software providers to monitor system upgrades.
  • Produce planning reports and dashboards, including look-aheads, summaries, and KPI reports, while supporting structured data feeds for Power BI.
  • Support program audits and governance, ensuring compliance with planning procedures and contract requirements.
  • Coordinate planning community events, managing logistics, content preparation, and communication.
  • Collect feedback from attendees to identify future topics for competency building.

Requirements

  • Proven experience as a Planning Engineer with at least 3+ years of experience using Primavera P6.
  • Strong data mindset and relevant experience in scheduling engineering projects.
  • Excellent communication skills, able to explain planning and scheduling matters to non-planning personnel.
  • Experience in running and maintaining a Primavera P6 database and coaching others in its operation.
  • Competent in various planning software, including P6 and MS Project.

Nice to Have

  • Experience in automating P6 to Excel reporting workflows.
  • Experience in presenting planning data in Power BI.
  • Experience in organizing engaging forums, seminars, and workshops.
