Principal Security Consultant - Remote Opportunity
About the Role
We are seeking a Principal Security Consultant to join our team at LRQA. This remote Principal Security Consultant position offers the opportunity to work with a globally recognized cybersecurity firm dedicated to driving positive change and sustainability. You will play a vital role in enhancing our clients' cybersecurity maturity and addressing their most pressing security challenges.
What You'll Do
- Manage the entire lifecycle of security engagements, from initial client interaction to testing, reporting, and debriefing.
- Produce high-quality, thorough reports that demonstrate continuous improvement in security practices.
- Develop and maintain professional, consultative relationships with clients, supporting scoping efforts as needed.
- Lead medium to large projects, taking responsibility for strategic client relationships.
- Provide mentorship to junior consultants and contribute to team and process improvement initiatives.
- Deliver technical analysis of current IT security events, particularly for media coverage when requested.
Requirements
- Strong technical skills in information security with extensive hands-on experience in penetration testing across various environments.
- At least 3 years of relevant penetration testing or cybersecurity industry experience within the last 5 years.
- Excellent written and spoken English skills, with the ability to explain complex technical concepts to non-technical audiences.
- OSCE, CREST Certified Tester (CCT), Cyber Scheme Team Leader (CSTL), or equivalent security certification.
- Experience in additional technical domains such as OT, container security, code review, or threat modeling is advantageous.
Nice to Have
- Familiarity with cloud platforms (Azure or AWS), mobile environments (Android and iOS), and social engineering techniques.
- A proactive attitude towards emerging threats and a passion for cybersecurity.
