Staff Software Integration Engineer - Remote Opportunity

About the Role

We are seeking a Staff Software Integration Engineer to join our innovative team at Northrop Grumman. As a Staff Software Integration Engineer, you will play a crucial role in designing and implementing software solutions that integrate with hardware systems.

What You'll Do

• Develop and maintain software that integrates with embedded systems and hardware interfaces.
• Write clean, testable code in Python, utilizing virtual environments and packaging.
• Implement drivers and APIs to expose hardware functionality to software applications.
• Conduct unit and system-level testing using tools like pytest and Robot Framework.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams in an Agile/Scrum environment.
• Manage firmware upgrades and configuration flashing for hardware components.
• Utilize CI/CD practices for embedded systems using Jenkins and GitHub Actions.
• Document hardware interface specifications and test procedures.

Requirements

• 12 years of experience with a Bachelor's degree in a related field, or equivalent experience.
• Active DoD Secret clearance required.
• Proficiency in Python and experience with C++ programming.
• Familiarity with real-time operating systems (RTOS) and hardware description tools.
• Experience with version control systems, particularly Git.
• Strong analytical debugging skills and clear communication abilities.
• Ability to work in a cross-functional Scrum team.
• Experience with Agile methodologies.

Nice to Have

• Experience with the Atlassian Tool Suite including Jira and Confluence.
• Familiarity with Model-Based Systems Engineering languages (SysML/UML).
• Ability to evaluate risks and present solutions to management.
