About the Role
We are seeking a Staff Software Integration Engineer to join our innovative team at Northrop Grumman. This remote position offers an exciting opportunity to work on revolutionary systems that impact lives around the world. As a Staff Software Integration Engineer, you will play a crucial role in designing and implementing software solutions that integrate with hardware systems.
What You'll Do
- Develop and maintain software that integrates with embedded systems and hardware interfaces.
- Write clean, testable code in Python, utilizing virtual environments and packaging.
- Implement drivers and APIs to expose hardware functionality to software applications.
- Conduct unit and system-level testing using tools like pytest and Robot Framework.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams in an Agile/Scrum environment.
- Manage firmware upgrades and configuration flashing for hardware components.
- Utilize CI/CD practices for embedded systems using Jenkins and GitHub Actions.
- Document hardware interface specifications and test procedures.
Requirements
- 12 years of experience with a Bachelor's degree in a related field, or equivalent experience.
- Active DoD Secret clearance required.
- Proficiency in Python and experience with C++ programming.
- Familiarity with real-time operating systems (RTOS) and hardware description tools.
- Experience with version control systems, particularly Git.
- Strong analytical debugging skills and clear communication abilities.
- Ability to work in a cross-functional Scrum team.
- Experience with Agile methodologies.
Nice to Have
- Experience with the Atlassian Tool Suite including Jira and Confluence.
- Familiarity with Model-Based Systems Engineering languages (SysML/UML).
- Ability to evaluate risks and present solutions to management.
