System Operations Engineer - Remote Opportunity with Relocation

About the Role

We are seeking a System Operations Engineer to join our innovative team at Northrop Grumman. This System Operations Engineer remote position offers a unique opportunity to work on groundbreaking systems that impact lives globally. What You'll Do

• Monitor system and subsystem operation and performance, preparing periodic status reports.
• Investigate and respond to indications of anomalous system performance.
• Assist in preparing and reviewing standard operations procedures and system redundancy management documentation.
• Support system reconfiguration and mode changes as required.
• Implement procedures in response to anomalous behavior and monitor equipment health to ensure mission readiness.
• Engage in continuous core skill improvement training and perform system performance improvement tasks.
• Work a non-traditional schedule, including occasional 12-hour shifts and weekends.

Requirements

• Bachelor of Science Degree in a STEM discipline plus 2 years of relevant technical experience for Level 2 or 5 years for Level 3.
• Willingness to complete a two-year overseas tour commitment.
• Ability to obtain and maintain a DoD Top Secret Clearance and pass a counterintelligence polygraph examination.
• Experience with Linux OS and scripting tools is preferred.
• Familiarity with Atlassian tools such as Confluence and JIRA.

Nice to Have

• Active DoD Top Secret Clearance / SCI Access.
• Prior operations and/or systems engineering experience.
• Experience working in a geographically diverse team.
