About the Role

We're hiring a Mid-Senior Linux Security Engineer to join our fully remote team at Hamilton Barnes. As a Linux Security Engineer, you'll play a crucial role in protecting and enhancing our infrastructure, ensuring high availability and security for our global hosting services.

What You'll Do

• Secure and improve Linux infrastructure across multiple global server locations.
• Deploy and manage IDS/IPS tools such as Suricata, Zeek, and Snort.
• Configure firewalls, VPNs, and network controls to enhance security.
• Build logging and monitoring pipelines to track system performance and security events.
• Conduct vulnerability scanning and patching to mitigate risks.
• Analyze logs and network traffic for potential threats.
• Automate security tasks using Bash or Python to streamline processes.

Requirements

• Strong experience in Linux administration.
• Good understanding of networking fundamentals.
• Exposure to firewalls, monitoring, and logging tools.
• Proficient in scripting or automation skills.
• Experience in a high-availability infrastructure environment.
