Software Product Owner - Level 5 (Remote)

About the Role

We are seeking a Software Product Owner - Level 5 (Remote) to join Northrop Grumman, a leader in aerospace and defense. In this role, you will have the opportunity to work on revolutionary systems that impact lives globally. As a Software Product Owner, you will define the product vision and manage the product backlog, ensuring alignment with business objectives. This position is contingent upon capturing program awards and obtaining necessary clearances.

What You'll Do

• Lead a scrum team of approximately 8 engineers, providing mentorship and fostering a culture of code quality and continuous learning.
• Define and prioritize the product backlog, crafting user stories, epics, and acceptance criteria.
• Drive software development on Linux/Unix using technologies such as TypeScript, Angular, Node.js, React, and/or Vue.
• Conduct sprint planning, stand-ups, retrospectives, and reviews while maintaining alignment with product vision and mission goals.
• Utilize the Atlassian tool suite, including Jira and Confluence, to manage tasks and facilitate communication.

Requirements

• 12+ years of software development experience with a Bachelor's Degree; or 10+ years with a Master's Degree; or 8+ years with a PhD.
• Proven ability as a Lead Software Engineer with experience in building front-end applications using at least two of the following technologies: TypeScript, Angular, Node.js, React, or Vue.
• Demonstrated leadership in architecting and developing applications on Linux/Unix operating systems.
• Extensive experience applying Agile methodologies and utilizing Atlassian tools.
• Exceptional skills in defining and articulating a clear product vision and strategic goals.

Nice to Have

• Experience with containerization and orchestration tools like Docker and Kubernetes.
• Previous leadership experience in developing Command and Control software for Satellite Ground Systems.
• Active TS/SCI clearance.
