Senior/​Lead Motion Designer - Creative Storytelling

About the Role

Design Humans is seeking a Senior/Lead Motion Designer to join our talented team in New York City. This full-time, permanent position offers the opportunity to shape and orchestrate our visual identity across both static and motion media. As a Senior/Lead Motion Designer, you will play a pivotal role in developing and refining brand designs, crafting motion graphics, and telling compelling visual stories that resonate with our audiences. This role requires you to work on-site in NYC four days a week, with relocation support available for serious candidates.

What You'll Do

• Translate brand principles, themes, and moods into strategic frameworks for both static and motion design expressions.
• Evolve and expand the brand system to ensure consistency and scalability across all customer touchpoints.
• Conceptualize and produce motion graphics and animations that bring stories, products, and messages to life.
• Develop motion design strategies that enhance brand storytelling and audience engagement.
• Build out motion design guidelines and systems to ensure consistency across all motion assets.
• Create multimedia narratives that communicate the essence of teams, projects, or products, tailored to specific audiences and objectives.
• Collaborate closely with marketing, sales, and product teams to ensure alignment between design vision and execution.
• Manage multiple design projects simultaneously, ensuring timely delivery and adherence to quality standards.

Requirements

• 5+ years of experience as a Motion Designer, with a strong portfolio showcasing your work.
• Expertise in motion graphics software such as Adobe After Effects, Cinema 4D, and Adobe Creative Suite.
• Strong understanding of design principles, typography, and color theory.
• Experience in storytelling through visual media.
• Ability to manage multiple projects and deadlines effectively.
• Excellent communication and collaboration skills.

Nice to Have

• Experience with 3D modeling and animation.
• Knowledge of user experience (UX) design principles.
• Familiarity with video editing software.
