Senior Full Stack Software Engineer - Application Framework

About the Role

We are seeking a Senior Full Stack Software Engineer (Remote) to join our innovative team at Scalable GmbH. Our mission is to empower application teams to focus on business logic rather than framework configurations and integrations. As a Senior Full Stack Software Engineer, you will play a pivotal role in shaping the future of our application framework, ensuring high performance, security, and cost efficiency.

What You'll Do

• Architect and pioneer the future of microservices at Scalable, focusing on performance, security, and cost-efficiency.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to identify and understand application requirements for our platform.
• Lead the design and development of "Service in a day" application templates using Spring Boot, Node.js, and Python Lambdas.
• Pioneer the adoption of AI coding tools to accelerate developer workflows.
• Drive critical technology migrations, centralizing best practices for over 40 application teams.
• Take full ownership of core architectural components and central integration libraries.
• Research and develop service and storage improvements using serverless technologies.
• Be the central expert for vulnerability analysis of key frameworks, creating reusable security solution patterns.

Requirements

• Extensive experience in Kotlin/Java (Spring Boot) and AWS services.
• Solid understanding of scalable system design principles and distributed systems.
• Experience with infrastructure as code, preferably Terraform.
• A degree in a relevant field or equivalent work experience.
• Full professional proficiency in English with excellent communication skills.
• A passion for automating and improving processes.
• Ability to work effectively in a cross-functional team environment.

Nice to Have

• Experience with microservice architectures and event-driven architectures.
• Knowledge of GraphQL, Envoy, and messaging solutions like SNS, SQS, and Kafka.
• Familiarity with security best practices in software development.
