Deputy Manager - Early Years Education
About the Role
We are seeking a dedicated Deputy Manager to join our team at Little Cubs Day Nursery in Honor Oak, part of Grandir UK. This role offers an exciting opportunity to work in early years education while enjoying the flexibility of remote work. As a Deputy Manager, you will be instrumental in ensuring that all children receive rich and stimulating experiences appropriate to their age and stage of development.
What You'll Do
- Assist the Nursery Manager with the effective day-to-day management of the nursery.
- Ensure that all children attending the nursery receive high-quality childcare practices.
- Develop open and positive working relationships with staff and parents.
- Support, supervise, train, and appraise all staff to ensure delivery of high-quality childcare practice.
- Assist in identifying training needs and developing training plans for staff.
- Maintain effective communication with children, staff, parents, and carers.
- Help resolve complaints and concerns in a timely manner.
- Contribute to achieving occupancy targets set by the Nursery Manager.
Requirements
- Level 3 or above in Early Years Education.
- Experience in a managerial role within a nursery or childcare setting.
- Strong leadership and communication skills.
- Ability to foster a positive and inclusive environment.
- Commitment to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children.
Nice to Have
- Experience with Early Years Foundation Stage (EYFS) curriculum.
- Knowledge of current childcare legislation and best practices.
- First Aid qualification.
