Social Worker - Refugee Support (Remote)

About the Role

Join our team as a Social Worker in Refugee Support, where you will make a significant impact on the lives of individuals and families in need. As a Social Worker, you will be working remotely, providing essential support to refugees in Cologne, Germany.

What You'll Do

• Provide care and counseling to refugees, including women, men, and families.
• Establish connections with local authorities, healthcare providers, schools, and community organizations.
• Manage organizational tasks related to the intake and exit of clients.
• Conduct interviews with clients to develop their perspectives and plans for their time in Germany.
• Specialize in specific areas such as violence protection or volunteer work.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Social Work or Social Pedagogy is mandatory.
• Open to both recent graduates and experienced professionals.
• Familiarity with social law is preferred.
• Quick learner with the ability to adapt to new contexts.
• Foreign language skills are a plus but not required.
• Empathy, humor, and a positive attitude are essential.
• Ability to work independently while being a team player.

Nice to Have

• Experience in working with diverse populations.
• Knowledge of local resources and services for refugees.
• Previous volunteer experience in social services.
