Senior Distributed Systems Engineer - Remote Opportunity

About the Role

We are seeking a Senior Distributed Systems Engineer to join our innovative team at RTB House. This remote position offers the chance to work on cutting-edge technologies in a dynamic environment. You will play a key role in enhancing our platform engineering capabilities, focusing on deployment, monitoring, databases, and load balancing.

What You'll Do

• Lead the development of complex projects within the platform engineering team, ensuring high-quality outcomes.
• Coordinate a project team of 3-4 engineers, facilitating collaboration across various teams within RTB House.
• Ensure the reliability and scalability of our distributed systems, enhancing performance and efficiency.
• Define technical requirements and proactively engage with stakeholders to align business needs with technical solutions.
• Conduct code reviews and provide mentorship to junior engineers, fostering a culture of continuous improvement.

Requirements

• Proven experience in distributed systems and a strong understanding of complex IT architectures.
• Extensive programming experience in languages such as Java and Python.
• Familiarity with technologies like Kubernetes, Prometheus, and Google Cloud Platform.
• Ability to critically analyze system performance and implement improvements.
• Fluency in English (C1 level) and Polish.

Nice to Have

• Experience with tools like Kafka, Clickhouse, and Elasticsearch.
• Knowledge of DevOps practices and CI/CD pipelines.
• Experience in leading project teams and managing cross-functional collaboration.
