About the Role

We are seeking a Senior Windows Systems Administrator to join our team at Northrop Grumman. This Senior Windows Systems Administrator remote position offers the chance to work on revolutionary systems that impact lives worldwide. You will be part of a dynamic team in El Segundo, CA, dedicated to delivering secure technological solutions in a classified environment.

What You'll Do

  • Serve as a Windows System Administrator for classified government contracts.
  • Develop computer systems specifications that align with business requirements and company architecture standards.
  • Establish and document system parameters and formats, ensuring compatibility of hardware and software systems.
  • Revise existing systems and procedures to enhance data handling and storage efficiency.
  • Write scripts and build systems, collaborating with security teams for system certifications.
  • Support installations, configuration, and troubleshooting using Cohesity backup.
  • Install, configure, and support virtualized environments (Broadcom/VMware & Dell VxRail).
  • Diagnose and resolve hardware and software issues across multiple platforms.

Requirements

  • Master's Degree with 6 years of relevant experience; OR a Bachelor's Degree with 8 years of experience; OR an Associate's Degree with 10 years of experience; OR a High School Diploma with 12 years of relevant experience.
  • Must have a DOD 8140 security certification (Security+ or higher).
  • Current DOD Secret level security clearance is required.
  • Experience managing Windows Server OS and designing Windows domain architectures including Active Directory.
  • Proficiency in scripting and system management in a classified environment.

Nice to Have

  • Bachelor's degree in Information Technology.
  • Active Top Secret clearance or similar certifications.
  • Experience with JIRA, Open Shift, Kubernetes, and Cloud operations.
  • Knowledge of environmental monitoring tools (HBSS/Solar Winds/Splunk).
