Senior Data Scientist - Finance/​Controlling Remote

About the Role

We are seeking a Senior Data Scientist - Finance/Controlling Remote to join our Analytics & Innovation team at ABN AMRO. In this role, you will lead end-to-end data science projects, utilizing your expertise in data modeling and AI/ML solutions to enhance Finance Controlling processes. This position offers the flexibility of remote work while being part of a collaborative and supportive team environment.

What You'll Do

• Lead data science initiatives that optimize processes and generate strategic insights for Finance.
• Design, develop, and maintain AI and ML models, ensuring high standards of quality.
• Unlock, model, and structure internal and external data within our Databricks environment.
• Perform complex analyses and research, exploring new methodologies and operationalizing use cases.
• Mentor junior data scientists, fostering a culture of knowledge sharing and collaboration.

Requirements

• Master’s degree (WO) with at least six years of relevant experience in data science.
• Proficiency in Python, PySpark, SQL, and Databricks.
• Strong analytical skills with the ability to turn complex analyses into actionable insights.
• Demonstrated experience in leading complex data science projects independently.
• Proactive and solution-focused attitude with a commitment to continuous learning.

Nice to Have

• Experience with GenAI/LLMs and their application in finance.
• Familiarity with advanced analytics techniques.
• Previous experience in mentoring or leading teams.
