Senior Fullstack Developer - Backend-Leaning for FinTech

About the Role

We're hiring a Senior Fullstack Developer (Backend-Leaning) to join our innovative team at Veem. This fully remote position is perfect for someone who is passionate about building high-quality, user-facing applications for complex financial workflows. As a Senior Fullstack Developer, you'll play a crucial role in shaping frontend architecture, improving performance and scalability, and collaborating closely with Product, Design, and Backend teams to deliver end-to-end features.

What You'll Do

• Design, develop, and maintain distributed enterprise SaaS applications.
• Contribute to both backend and frontend development, with a primary focus on backend systems.
• Build and maintain scalable, high-performance services for transaction-heavy systems.
• Develop and consume APIs with an API-first mindset.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams and external partners for integrations.
• Support and enhance frontend components using React where needed.

Requirements

• Strong experience in backend development, with Java as a must-have.
• Solid experience as a Full Stack Engineer with exposure to frontend technologies (React preferred).
• Proven experience working on transaction-heavy systems.
• Experience developing and maintaining distributed systems / enterprise SaaS applications.
• Strong understanding of API design and development (API-first approach).
• Experience integrating with external partners or third-party systems.

Nice to Have

• Prior experience in high-growth or scaling environments.
• Familiarity with modern frontend best practices (not a UI-focused role).
