Senior Cybersecurity Specialist - Remote Opportunity

About the Role

We are seeking a Senior Cybersecurity Specialist to join our team at NTT DATA Europe & Latam. This remote position offers an exciting opportunity to work with one of the world's largest global security service providers. As a Senior Cybersecurity Specialist, you will play a crucial role in monitoring, analyzing, and responding to security incidents while collaborating with recognized security technology brands.

What You'll Do

• Monitor, triage, and analyze security alerts in customer-specific SIEM, EDR, and other security tools.
• Perform incident response, define remediation and mitigation recommendations to customers.
• Evaluate emerging cybersecurity threats and develop strategies to manage them effectively.
• Conduct threat hunting using SIEM/EDR/XDR and other security systems and logs.
• Create incident reports and present findings to customers.
• Design and implement incident response playbooks based on threat scenarios.
• Improve detection capabilities through the recommendation of new analytical rules for threat detection.
• Participate in customer meetings to understand their security needs and pain points.

Requirements

• Master’s or bachelor’s degree in Cybersecurity, Computer Science, Engineering, or related fields.
• Minimum of 5 years of relevant experience in cybersecurity.
• Proven track record in security activities such as investigations, incident response, or forensics.
• Knowledge of ITIL disciplines including Incident, Problem, and Change Management.
• Experience with EDR, XDR, SIEM, and SOAR tools.
• Familiarity with tools such as Splunk, IBM QRadar, Microsoft Defender for Endpoint, Microsoft Sentinel, or Google SecOps.
• Skills in scripting languages like Python and PowerShell are a plus.
• Certifications such as CompTIA Security+, GIAC, ISC2 CISSP, or CCNP are advantageous.
• Fluent English, both verbal and written.

Nice to Have

• Experience in threat modeling using frameworks like MITRE ATT&CK, STRIDE, or Kill Chain.
• Customer-oriented behavior and strong communication skills.
