We're hiring a Lead Machine Learning Engineer to join our innovative EdTech startup in London. What You'll Do

• Build and lead a new ML team from the ground up, fostering a culture of innovation and collaboration.
• Define the tech stack for data pipelines and machine learning models, ensuring scalability and performance.
• Develop generative models using diverse datasets, including text, audio, video, and test results.
• Design and deploy data integration and analysis pipelines that support educational initiatives.
• Collaborate with engineers and product managers to bring machine learning features to life, enhancing user experiences.
• Create innovative language assessments and predictive models that drive educational outcomes.
• Optimize models for performance, scalability, and accuracy, ensuring they meet the needs of our users.
• Explore and implement best practices in machine learning and AI, contributing to the overall strategy of the organization.

Requirements

• Deep knowledge of neural networks, including CNNs, RNNs, LSTMs, and Transformers.
• Strong experience with data tools such as Pandas, NumPy, and Apache Spark.
• Solid understanding of NLP algorithms and their applications in educational contexts.
• Experience integrating machine learning models via RESTful APIs.
• Familiarity with CI/CD pipelines and deployment automation to streamline processes.
• Strategic thinking around architecture and trade-offs to optimize performance.
• 5+ years of experience in machine learning and AI roles, with a focus on education or similar industries.

Nice to Have

• Experience in the EdTech industry or related fields.
• Knowledge of cloud platforms such as AWS or Azure.
• Familiarity with agile development methodologies.
