Payroll Operations Manager - Remote Opportunity

About the Role

We are seeking a Payroll Operations Manager to join our team at Oyster, where you can work remotely and help us revolutionize payroll operations across the Americas. In this role, you will lead a team of payroll specialists to deliver exceptional payroll services, ensuring compliance and efficiency in a hyper-growth environment.

What You'll Do

• Manage and oversee a team of payroll specialists delivering both in-house and Employer of Record (EoR) payroll for Oyster's team members across multiple countries.
• Drive payroll transformation through automation and optimize payroll operations to meet service delivery targets and KPIs.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to continuously improve payroll processes and ensure a best-of-breed payroll experience.
• Lead the execution of payroll operations in Canada, the United States, Brazil, and Mexico.
• Perform audits to ensure data integrity and compliance with local payroll legislation.
• Mentor and develop payroll team members, fostering a culture of continuous learning and career growth.
• Analyze payroll trends to identify discrepancies and areas for optimization.
• Provide backup support for payroll team members during peak processing periods.

Requirements

• 7+ years of payroll experience, with at least 3 years in a management role.
• Experience overseeing end-to-end payroll operations across the Americas.
• Strong knowledge of local taxation and compliance regulations.
• Experience managing payroll for 1,000+ employees across multiple jurisdictions.
• Project management experience in payroll implementations or transformation initiatives.
• Fluent English language skills and a reliable home internet connection.
