Senior Cyber Security Analyst - Remote Opportunity

About the Role

We are seeking a Senior Cyber Security Analyst to join our dynamic team at Milestone Technologies. This remote position is an exciting opportunity for professionals looking to make an impact in the cybersecurity field. You will support and manage day-to-day Security Operations Center (SOC) activities, ensuring the safety and integrity of our clients' systems.

What You'll Do

• Lead, develop, and support the frontline SOC team, fostering a culture of excellence.
• Set goals and develop action plans for service growth and areas of opportunity.
• Maintain SLA compliance and ensure timely communication within the team.
• Conduct meetings with the Service Delivery Manager and staff to discuss ongoing projects and issues.
• Manage personnel with the ultimate goal of creating the 'best place to work' culture.
• Address conduct issues with urgency and communicate needs back to Milestone leadership.
• Follow up on tasks and load balance as needed to meet daily expectations.
• Lead, monitor, motivate, and inspire the team, providing guidance and support.

Requirements

• Minimum of 5+ years of experience in 24x7 enterprise operations, preferably in security operations.
• At least 3+ years of experience working with SIEM, including running investigations.
• Strong understanding of Information Security, including malware, emerging threats, and vulnerability management.
• Comprehensive knowledge of TCP/IP and networking concepts.
• Flexibility around being on-call or on a scheduled rotation.
• Excellent written communication skills and superior problem-solving abilities.
• Ability to work under pressure and synthesize information rapidly.

Nice to Have

• Certifications in cybersecurity (e.g., CISSP, CISM).
• Experience with cloud security solutions.
• Familiarity with compliance standards (e.g., GDPR, HIPAA).
