Senior Backend Engineer – Hyperliquid Focus (Remote)

About the Role

We are seeking a Senior Backend Engineer – Hyperliquid Focus (Remote) to join our client's innovative team. This position is open to candidates located in the EMEA region. As a Senior Backend Engineer, you will play a crucial role in simplifying multi-chain DeFi for financial institutions and fintechs. This is a fully remote position, allowing you to work from anywhere within the EMEA region.

What You'll Do

• Extend the core API stack to integrate projects within the Hyperliquid ecosystem, enhancing their diverse feature sets.
• Collaborate closely with Product Managers and fellow Backend Engineers to optimize routing, user flows, and system integrations.
• Evaluate and propose new opportunities for feature extensions within the decentralized trading space.
• Write robust, high-quality code focused on high-concurrency scalability and reliability for cross-chain trading.
• Actively participate in system design, peer code reviews, and maintain technical documentation.

Requirements

• 5+ years of experience as a Backend Engineer, with a strong focus on blockchain technologies.
• Proficiency in TypeScript and experience with API development.
• Deep interest in the Hyperliquid ecosystem and decentralized finance.
• Strong understanding of high-concurrency systems and cross-chain trading.
• Excellent collaboration and communication skills.

Nice to Have

• Experience with decentralized applications (dApps) and smart contracts.
• Familiarity with other programming languages such as Python or Go.
• Previous experience in a remote-first work environment.
