Senior QA Test Automation Engineer - Unity Mobile Games

About the Role

We are looking for a Senior QA Test Automation Engineer to join our team and lead the automation efforts for our Unity-based mobile games. This Senior QA Test Automation Engineer remote position offers a unique opportunity to shape and drive the automation strategy while working closely with game developers and QA teams. You will architect scalable frameworks and integrate automated testing into our CI/CD pipelines, ensuring release stability and accelerating delivery.

What You'll Do

• Lead the automation strategy for Unity mobile games, ensuring high-quality releases.
• Design and develop scalable automation frameworks and tooling.
• Integrate automated tests into CI/CD pipelines to protect the main branch and gate merges.
• Build and maintain automated regression coverage for core gameplay flows, SDK integrations, and backend interactions.
• Establish automation standards and best practices across the team.
• Collaborate closely with game developers to enhance testability and quality-by-design.
• Support manual testing efforts when necessary to ensure release quality.

Requirements

• 5+ years of experience in QA automation, with a focus on senior-level ownership.
• Strong hands-on experience with Unity and C#.
• Experience with backend/API automation testing (e.g., REST, Swagger/OpenAPI).
• Proficient in TypeScript, JavaScript, or Python for tooling and CI scripts.
• Experience testing mobile applications on iOS and Android.
• Proven ability to design and scale automation frameworks.
• Strong debugging and analytical skills.
• Excellent collaboration and communication skills.

Nice to Have

• Experience with AltTester and Maestro for in-game UI and gameplay automation.
• Familiarity with CI/CD tools and processes.
