GE9X In-Service Readiness Engineer - Remote Position
About the Role
Are you ready to see your career take flight? We are hiring a GE9X In-Service Readiness Engineer remote to join our team at GE Aerospace. In this role, you will be responsible for the smooth entry into service and ongoing operational support of the GE9X engine program, focusing on proactive issue identification, resolution, and fleet health management.
What You'll Do
- Support efforts around product durability and validation as a fan module engineer.
- Recognize and complete validation activities, own repair substantiation efforts, and define the leading indicator program.
- Execute design, analysis, and evaluation of assigned projects using sound engineering principles.
- Collaborate with various engineering organizations to develop engine systems and designs, identifying potential in-service issues.
- Lead root cause analysis efforts for in-service engine issues, coordinating with relevant engineering disciplines.
- Develop and implement in-service readiness plans for the GE9X engine, including spare parts availability and training.
- Deliver technical training materials and presentations to airline customers and internal support teams.
- Manage technical queries and support requests from GE9X operators, ensuring timely resolution.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in engineering from an accredited university or college.
- Minimum of 3 years of experience in design, manufacturing, field service, or product support engineering.
- Strong understanding of gas turbine engine operation, maintenance, and FAA regulations.
- Experience with data analysis tools for identifying trends in complex datasets.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to interact with customers and stakeholders.
Nice to Have
- Experience with GE Aerospace engineering processes and tools.
- Prior experience with engine entry into service programs.
- Ability to travel as required (approximately 10-20%).
