Senior Air Import Agent - Logistics Specialist

About the Role

C.H. Robinson is seeking a Senior Air Import Agent to join our dynamic team in Aalsmeer, Netherlands. In this Senior Air Import Agent remote role, you will manage the full shipment lifecycle for assigned customer accounts, ensuring that all requirements are handled accurately, efficiently, and on time. You will take ownership of your accounts, overseeing each shipment from start to finish while maintaining clear and proactive communication with customers and internal stakeholders.

What You'll Do

• Coordinate tasks on shipments to meet all customer SOP requirements: booking approvals, processing pre-alerts, governmental filings, executing delivery, ensuring proper invoicing, etc.
• Understand and input applicable financial components of shipments to generate correct billing for customers.
• Collaborate with our international team members and third-party agents to ensure efficiency, excellent customer service, and creative problem resolution.
• Build great relationships with customers, responding timely and following up on issue resolution.
• Provide track and trace service to customers and generate shipment documents.
• Ensure a high level of data integrity within the shipments: acknowledgment of shipment details, routing, dates, documents, etc.
• Provide reporting and documentation support to internal and external customers.
• Apply industry knowledge and critical thinking to adapt processes and create solutions in response to challenges both internally and externally.

Requirements

• Minimum of 3 years of Air Import experience with a freight forwarder.
• Fluent in Dutch and English.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced and deadline-driven environment.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite of programs.
• Excellent communication, prioritization, and multi-tasking skills.
• Proven track record of strong customer service skills, interacting with customers and being client-focused.
• Critical-thinking, flexibility, and problem-solving skills to adapt to ever-changing tasks and customer needs.
• High level of attention to detail.
