About the Role

We are seeking a talented Remote Drafter - Telecommunications to join our dynamic team. In this role, you will play a crucial part in designing and drafting telecommunications systems, ensuring that our projects meet the highest standards of quality and efficiency. As a Remote Drafter - Telecommunications, you will collaborate with engineers and project managers to create detailed schematics and layouts that support our telecommunications infrastructure.

What You'll Do

• Create detailed engineering schematics for telecommunications projects using AutoCAD and MicroStation.
• Collaborate with project teams to gather requirements and ensure designs meet specifications.
• Prepare make-ready designs for overhead utility pole installations and fiber optic networks.
• Utilize Microsoft Word, Excel, and Outlook for documentation and communication purposes.
• Assist in project coordination and technical project administration to ensure timely delivery of drafts.

Requirements

• Proven experience as a drafter in the telecommunications or engineering field.
• Proficiency in AutoCAD and MicroStation is essential.
• Strong understanding of telecommunications systems, including fiber optics and copper cabling.
• Experience with project coordination and technical project administration.
• Excellent communication skills and ability to work collaboratively in a remote team environment.

Nice to Have

• Familiarity with Deltek Vantagepoint for project management.
• Experience in audio/video systems design.
• Knowledge of DevOps practices and tools like Python and Ansible.
