Shunter Driver - Remote Opportunity

About the Role

We are looking for a dedicated Shunter Driver to join our team at FedEx Express. This Shunter Driver remote opportunity allows you to be part of a global logistics leader while maintaining a flexible work environment. As a Shunter Driver, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the seamless movement of transport containers and vehicles within our facilities.

What You'll Do

• Perform shunting operations while adhering to all relevant safety regulations.
• Detach transport containers (swap bodies, trailers, air freight containers) from gates and ramps.
• Park containers in designated areas and position them at loading docks and ramps.
• Coordinate and organize container movements on the company premises.
• Timely execution of container preparation orders at the hall gates.
• Inspect the functionality of vehicles and containers, including checking the validity of technical inspection certificates.
• Report damages and non-operational transport means as per inspection findings.
• Comply with all relevant regulations, processes, and legal requirements, including safety and operational guidelines.

Requirements

• Completed training or comparable professional experience.
• Class CE driving license is required.
• Willingness to work shifts, including nights, weekends, and holidays.
• Ability to work under pressure, flexibility, and teamwork skills.
• Experience in the handling area of a KEP service provider is advantageous.
• Computer skills are desirable.
• Knowledge of hazardous goods and forklift certification is a plus.
• Good German language skills are beneficial.
