About the Role

We are seeking a Payroll Strategy & Compliance Expert to join our team in a fully remote capacity. As a key player in our organization, you will be responsible for ensuring payroll compliance across Eastern Europe. What You'll Do

• Own compliance for your country or region, ensuring local requirements are accurately interpreted and implemented.
• Translate statutory rules and payroll logic into structured requirements for Product and Engineering teams.
• Lead complex audits and compliance programs, establishing frameworks that scale across jurisdictions.
• Serve as the primary escalation point for compliance issues, driving swift resolutions and implementing corrective actions.
• Create clear, scalable processes for payroll compliance operations, aligning global policies with regional requirements.
• Build training materials and documentation to upskill internal teams and maintain high-quality compliance documentation.
• Partner with cross-functional teams to embed compliance into decision-making processes.
• Achieve high stakeholder satisfaction through proactive and solutions-oriented communication.

Requirements

• Deep expertise in payroll and employment compliance for your region.
• Proven record of leading audits and compliance programs.
• Experience partnering with technical teams to convert statutory rules into product requirements.
