Partner & Benefits Accountant - Remote Role at Deel

About the Role

Join Deel as a Partner & Benefits Accountant in this exciting remote role. As a key member of our finance team, you will manage the accounting processes related to partner programs and benefits offerings, ensuring accurate financial reporting and compliance across multiple jurisdictions.

What You'll Do

• Manage accounting processes related to partner programs, revenue sharing arrangements, and partner-related financial flows.
• Record and reconcile transactions related to partner commissions, revenue sharing, and program incentives.
• Ensure accurate revenue recognition and financial reporting related to partner activities.
• Support accounting processes related to benefits programs and related financial transactions.
• Prepare journal entries, reconciliations, and supporting schedules as part of the monthly financial close process.
• Monitor partner and benefits-related balances and investigate discrepancies when identified.
• Work closely with Partnerships, Product, and Operations teams to ensure proper financial treatment of new programs and initiatives.
• Communicate directly with external partners to clarify financial transactions, reconcile balances, and resolve discrepancies.

Requirements

• 3–6 years of accounting experience.
• Strong understanding of accounting principles (GAAP / IFRS).
• Experience supporting financial close processes, reconciliations, and journal entries.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
• High attention to detail and strong organizational skills.
• Ability to work cross-functionally with finance, product, partnerships, and operations teams.
• Strong communication skills and ability to work with external partners and stakeholders.

Nice to Have

• Experience with automated accounting processes and system integrations.
• Familiarity with international accounting standards.
• Previous experience in a SaaS environment.
