Software Engineer - Billing Systems (Remote)

About the Role

We are seeking a talented Software Engineer - Billing Systems to join our dynamic team at DoiT. This remote position allows you to work from various locations including Sweden, the UK, Ireland, Estonia, the Netherlands, and Israel. As a Software Engineer focusing on Billing Systems, you will play a crucial role in enhancing our billing and invoicing systems, ensuring they are scalable and efficient.

What You'll Do

• Lead the implementation of new features for our billing systems, from proposal to execution.
• Collaborate with finance and operations teams to identify inefficiencies and propose technical solutions.
• Review code and mentor junior engineers on best practices for code quality.
• Dedicate time to improving the health of the codebase and reducing technical debt.
• Provide technical guidance and feedback to the team during planning discussions.

Requirements

• 4+ years of software development experience, preferably as a Full Stack or Backend engineer.
• Hands-on experience in Go (2+ years) and familiarity with Python, React, and Node.js.
• Proficiency in SQL and experience with cloud services.
• Strong understanding of software engineering practices and design patterns.
• Excellent communication skills in English, both written and verbal.

Nice to Have

• Experience with cloud billing for AWS, GCP, and Azure.
• Familiarity with Google BigQuery.
