Lead Instructor: Software Development - Remote Position

About the Role

We are seeking a Lead Instructor: Software Development remote to join Correlation One, a leader in developing workforce skills for the AI economy. In this role, you will deliver high-quality, live, virtual instruction to diverse learners, conducting large synchronous online lectures on technical content. You will have the opportunity to train anywhere from 100 to 8,000+ learners at a time, making a significant impact on their careers and skills development.

What You'll Do

• Prepare and lead engaging virtual classroom sessions for a range of learners, ensuring high-quality content delivery.
• Collaborate closely with operations personnel to ensure smooth program delivery and adherence to schedules.
• Monitor class dynamics, manage Q&A sessions, and maintain overall class energy and engagement.
• Provide thoughtful and transparent feedback to improve course content and delivery.
• Exhibit professionalism and maintain a positive attitude while interacting with learners and staff.
• Adjust lesson pace and presentation style to meet the needs of diverse learners.
• Contribute to lesson design, development, and improvement as needed.
• Conduct rigorous Oral Defenses of student code to ensure comprehension of AI-generated snippets.

Requirements

• Proven experience as a Senior Engineer or Tech Lead with a strong focus on mentoring and debugging.
• Proficiency in Full Stack development, including Python, JavaScript, SQL, and Linux.
• Mastery of Git/GitHub, including branching, PRs, and CI/CD practices.
• Experience with AI-assisted coding tools like Gemini CLI and Google AI Studio.
• Hands-on experience with Docker, Cloudflare, and Google Cloud Run.
• Comfortable with gamified teaching methods and simulations.
• Strong communication skills and a charismatic, approachable demeanor.
• GitHub Foundations (GH-900) and/or OpenEDG JS Institute — JSE certification is an asset.

Nice to Have

• Experience in instructional design or curriculum development.
• Familiarity with best engineering practices and heuristics.
• Previous experience teaching or leading workshops in a virtual environment.
